Creative Corralling

Our baby boy isn't quite a baby anymore. He's growing so quickly and moving around so freely. We've had to begin getting creative with our means of blocking him into a small play space, free from danger. He gets quite frustrated, but I hate to have him cooped up in a playpen all day so hopefully our cardboard walls will keep him safe for now while still allowing him the opportunity to explore and learn to walk. These are moving boxes that we never transferred back to storage. At first, it drove me crazy that they were still stacked up in the apartment but now I don't mind so much. It beats having to go buy a play fence. Notice the blanket stuffed into the shelf of the side table. I had to add that on Friday when James figured out how to crawl through the table. I also love that it looks like he's reading the boxes in the last photo. I've heard a story that Aaron was reading the ingredients off of a ketchup bottle for his grandfather at age 4! Let's hope he gets his daddy's brains! He's a smart little kiddo!
