For James 1st Birthday, we celebrated our "little monkey" in style! Surrounded by family and friends, James had a wonderful party at Ross Park the weekend after his actual birthday. Thank you to all for making such a long trip to celebrate our sweet baby boy and for all the fun toys and gifts! He loves them all and we are so grateful for each and every one of you! :)

Happy Birthday, sweet baby James!

Our baby boy is one today!
You came into our world at 7:22am on Friday, September 21, 2007
weighing just 6 lbs, 15 oz.
What beautiful memories you've created,
and how our hearts are so much fuller for having you in them.
When we brought you home, we could fit your entire head in the palms of our hands.
Now you stretch the length of your changing table (a whopping 29 inches!)
You've grown so quickly and learned so much in this short year.
What a joy you have been in our lives.
Your smile lights up an entire room and you know no stranger.
You are so smart, so sweet, so funny and so happy!
We look forward to the future that lies ahead,
and watching as you discover new things daily.
Thank you, Lord, for our sweet baby boy!
Our lives have been made so much richer with him in them.
How could we ever ask for more?!
“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father...”
James 1:17
We are in shock at how fast this year has come and gone. I've been super sentimental all week, remembering every detail of the last few days that led up to his arrival. My baby isn't quite a baby anymore, and while I'm thrilled at how smart and sweet and grown up he is I'm equally sad. It's amazing to see how he's grown and all he's learned in this short year! What a beautiful year it has been, one full of tremendous blessings.

Landscaping & More Paint Pics
It seems the guys here never take a break! Today is Labor Day, and yet the landscaping was begun today. It also looks like they've pretty much finished the painting with the exception of changing one bathroom color and a few strips of base board that still needs to be installed. As you can see in the last photo, Aaron really likes to park in the garage when we go to visit our house.
