It's a Boy!!!

We went in for my ultrasound today and found out we can officially say "My 3 Sons!" We are so excited to introduce our sweet baby boy! It already appears that he might be a bit more shy than his two brothers, as the nurse couldn't get a profile pic from him no matter how hard she tried. He was quite comfortable curled up in a sweet little ball with his precious little hands and feet tucked up tight beneath him! :) Occasionally, he'd stretch both legs out long and move a hand to his head but he wouldn't turn over!
He hasn't been moving much lately despite my having felt his first moves around 13 weeks (no lie!! I think you just become more sensitive to these things the more you have.) Then, last night as I lay there checking email one last time before I went to bed he started kicking the computer like crazy!! I don't know if it was the heat from the laptop, or him just telling me he was fine and ready to introduce himself in the morning!
I was actually a bit nervous going in today and Aaron was running a little behind, so as she showed me pics of the skull, spine, heart, etc. I kept saying, "oh good, there's his spine" and "look, his heartbeat is so strong!" not even knowing yet that it was a boy! I think I just decided that it was a boy a few weeks ago but hadn't convinced myself until this morning as I lay there on the table. I know I've said I'd love some hairbows and pink things in the house, but I honestly can't put into words how absolutely excited I am to have another little boy! I know we aren't done with our family yet, and the way these things go for generations of Reynolds's and Dettling's, God doesn't give you the other gender until your family is complete! We may only have boys in our future, but if that's what God decides it's okay by me!
What a blessing and honor it is to be able to raise these sweet baby boys into the men who will be leading our country and starting their on families in the coming years! Now I can't promise my sanity will be intact when we're done, but I've already lost my short-term memory so what's a little more craziness in my life! God's teaching me some serious lessons about myself and the way I do things along the way!
So there you go, friends and readers....we're having another BOY! :)

Paying Homage to the Tide

Soooooooo...despite being a life-long Auburn fan (and you better believe I still am), I can't help but give a shout out to the great Crimson Tide! Congrats, fair Alabama! You went, you played, you conquered! And I can't believe I'm doing this BUT...Roll Tide Roll! My dad may have graduated from Auburn, but at heart he began as an Alabama fan! Anyone who has an ounce of pride for this state, would be too after last night's game! Nice job, guys! :)
