1. Never think it's safe to leave James in room with a door that has a lock, even if just stepping out into the garage for a second.
2. Keep spare key in a safe, hidden spot outside of the house.
3. Don't take eyes off of your 20 month old boy, even if just for a second.
4. Always wear shoes when stepping out into garage or outside.
5. Tape cell phone to body in case such an incident or any other shenanigan arises in the future.
6. Thank kind neighbor who climbed through house window to unlock kitchen door.
7. Laugh at this and all other past and future mischief and learn from these experiences!
8. Thank God for keeping us all safe!

So funny! The things we learn the hard way. I have too many of these stories to count - ones that one day I do hope I laugh at and not feel guilty over. :)
