Super?!

As I sit here reading friends blogs (really the titles of their blogs), I realize how odd our blog title is to me. I actually didn't come up with the name. It was one of Aaron's great ideas. It is a nice name for a blog, but I'm not sure what is so "super" about it. Most days I feel far from having done anything "super" or "super"ior.

This has been a very long 12 days! Last Saturday (May 16th) was the weekend of the Regions Charity Classic. We went and ate lunch in the hospitality room for residents and then visited with neighbors at a crawfish boil. It was a yucky day outside and we were dodging rain clouds as we left our house on foot. I wasn't feeling so hot when we left that morning, and by that afternoon I was in need of a long nap. Aaron and I watched a few episodes of 24 and then I slept for almost 3 hours! I didn't get out of the bed or off the couch again until Monday afternoon, and that was only so that I could start packing for our trip to Mobile. Of course, the boys came down with what I had and we have spent the last 12 days sick with one illness to the next! Finally, today, the clouds are parting and I can see a healthier weekend ahead (and maybe even a small ray of sunshine!)

All that to say, I'm not sure why our blog is called "The Dettling SuperBlog." I know we have a good life, even a great life filled with God's abundant gifts. But, I wouldn't classify us as "super." Oh well, maybe God will teach me through this curious thought.
