My dear friend Jennifer has been competing in marathons for the last few years to raise support for numerous causes. Her most recent ambition is to raise money and awareness for people fighting leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma. She is training to participate in the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco on October 18, 2008 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training. I am in awe of my friend and her ability and endurance to train and run, as well as her desire and skills to raise awareness on behalf of others battling these various illnesses.
